Small Groups

Small Groups are the heart of what it means to be community here at Christ the Redeemer Church.

They are more than a ministry – they are a way of belonging. They are communities of spiritual growth as well as sharing lives and caring for one another. Yet as a group grows close, they also seek a balance of outward focus in outreach, service and multiplying leadership.

We have a variety of small groups to which you can belong. Some are neighbourhood- based. These groups gather people together who live in similar areas. Other small groups focus on similar stages of life, such as young adults, married couples, young mothers and families. Groups can also be either all male or all female. Still, other small groups centre on a particular focus, such as prayer, spiritual formation, recovery, the arts and many others.

Each of the small groups at Christ the Redeemer Church has a unique flavour because all members of a small group contribute to what the group will become. In these small communities we will develop our capacity to relate to God and to people. Our desire is to be better able to live out the call that God has on our lives.
